Tacan Reynar

Lawyer · Former Senior Judge · Legal Professional

Tacan Reynar graduated from the Faculty of Law at Eastern Mediterranean University in 2004 and completed his LL.M. in Public Law at the same university with a thesis on comparative federal systems. He also taught Constitutional and Administrative Law at the faculty.

Appointed as a judge by the TRNC Supreme Council of Judicature in 2010, he served for eight years in civil, family, probate and criminal matters. He left the bench in 2018 while serving as Senior Judge at the Nicosia Criminal Court and returned to legal practice and consultancy.

He completed legal studies in Toronto, Canada, in 2023. He is the author of “Comparative Federal State” and “Crystal Castle” and received the Kutlu Adalı Honorary Award in 2022.

Graduated from the Faculty of Law at Eastern Mediterranean University.

2007

Completed an LL.M. in Public Law and established Reynar Law Office.

2010–2018

Served as a judge in the TRNC courts and as Senior Judge at the Nicosia Criminal Court.

2022

Received the Kutlu Adalı Honorary Award for work concerning freedom of the press and expression.

2023

Completed legal studies in Toronto, Canada; opened the Nicosia head office.

2025

Opened the Famagusta office.
